As I write, Suzy is winging her way back to the UK, she’s not done no sailing, and that’s set her up perfectly for the Caribbean, where she will be a proficient swimmer and comfortable on the dazzling white beaches.  The dark shores of Tenerife haven’t appealed to us either and so our water sports have been mainly in the shower and washing machine!

We anticipate leaving here on Monday for Gran Canaria, but will see how much the swell has subsided before we set off, we’ll anchor one overnight and possibly two and we’re not prepared to put up with this uppey, downey business!
