Well, Friday saw us take her out for the first time.
Under strict supervision of course. The boat left her mooring at the Sea
Start pontoon under Tom’s strict command and was returned, some two hours
later, with Colette at the helm – help! Don’t worry, the boat
was “christened” with champagne after her maiden voyage. The
local instructor who took us out yesterday is also taking us out today, Saturday.
Pictures will be loaded later, but just wanted to let everyone know we are
safe, well and still working hard.
More work on the boat on Monday, then we will be saying adieu
to Catherine on Tuesday, who unfortunately will not get much of a sail.
Andy will be travelling with us down to Portugal and Deborah is also coming
along for the ride – ah, the life of a freelance! Once we
leave the marina, we will be updating the blog site regularly (as we
remember!), but here’s hoping we’re on the move by Wednesday at the
latest.
