26 June and a month on from the wedding sees us gearing up for moving away from Birchington and into temporary accommodation at Hamble before we move on to the boat, “Prim Teaze of Leith”, next week.

As you see, there’s lots of work to be done on the hull and that is mirrored by work going on up top to get her into the best possible shape for the start of our trip.  Once we’re on the boat, we have to get used to sailing her and finding out if all the new equipment works, so we’re planning sea trials before we move away from the South coast to wend our way down the French, Spanish and Portuguese coasts.  We will then stop off in Madeira

In the meantime, we’ve also undertaken underwater activity and have both managed to pass our PADI scuba open water qualification.   Here’s a picture of Tom in action he’s the one with the yellow snorkel!
