A very pleasant trip to France, engine for a couple of hours then 12kt reach that gave us fast easy sailing to Cherbourg with just a little light ship-dodging at night. French formalities were minimal and easy- we had emailed the PAF form in advance and went to their office to get passports stamped, but the visit wasn't necessary and they almost seemed surprised to see us - the frontier police attend the marina office twice a day for such things.
