A varied few days, becalmed on Tuesday drifting
backwards (about 9nm in 10 hours ESE), but at least didn't make the day's run
negative. After a day of housekeeping then had to hand steer in the dark a
couple of hours until the wind eventually filled in at sea level. Plugged slowly
west until the wind veered yesterday evening. The veer wind was fairly
strong, causing me to go down to third reef for the 2nd time so far; it
then moderated over a couple of hours. I've come a little more south again
to go under the brief high to the North.
I'm tying to ignore the comforts and exploring potential
just a few hundred miles to the South.
