Yesterday afternoon the wind built to f6, dusk saw us with deep reefs, still too fast for the sea state in f7. Comfort was not helped by needing to stop to ensure that an overtaking tanker was well clear. The wind lightened in the morning but has now risen again to the top of f6 from the South. Another porridge morning! The next low goes over tomorrow and is likely to be fairly uncomfortable - don't be surprised if I don't have a signal for reporting. One week report: sailed about 690 nm, so decent daily runs with much good sailing and 2 uncomfortable nights (why during the night?) at f7. Fair winds to the OSTAR fleet, which has started as I type.
