The weather eased on Monday, but we've still managed reasonable runs and are now south of Ireland with around 300nm to home. On monday a small Petrel (black, white rump - British Storm Petrel?) circled the boat, and we were still joined by shearwaters. Last night we sailed onto the continental shelf - from a depth of thousands of meters to hundreds, accompanied by the need to watch for the inevitable fisherman working the edge, mostly Spanish.
