WE'VE ARRIVED !!

What a wonderful finish ! We drifted towards
St Lucia with very little wind but eventually arrived at about 5pm and sailed
towards the finish line with another boat called Magic Bus, a Najad 15 meter,
which we had crossed the start line with nearly 3 weeks before ! They were
ahead of us but went slightly high and Peter slipped through underneath them to
pip them at the post ! Even better a local photographer was there to
record the event - photo to follow ! The sun was setting as we took down
the sails and motored into the marina.
  A fabulous welcome greeted us with people waving
from boats, rum punch on the dock and Teddy and mate Bassett waiting for
us. A huge bunch of flowers arrived from my mother and
sister Sukie! A lovely evening of steak and salad followed by
local party and drinks on the boat later. And then we all slept for 12
hours !
 We have the best berth in the marina right
next to the bars and restaurants with Carribean music playing day and night
! So happy to be here !
