As Andrew posted yesterday on his Las Palmas
departure and the dramatic start, I thought I should recap to recount the visit
of Pat, Suki and Steve who flew down just for four days to see us off. A visit
to the boat followed by lunch at the Yacht Club Varadero was much enjoyed by
all.

 And to come right up to date a very good first
day was followed by a dead calm night last night and we ended up with the motor
on for a few precious hours of fuel. Dawn saw the wind fill in and our
asymettric up on a broad reach to the west of the Cape Verde isles.
