Hello Peeps,

It's me Stavros, innit? Justa wondering howa the kebab shop's goin' while we're away innit. Bloody weather's lovely innit but notta good fora the sailing lark innit.

Sorry folks I've no idea where Stavros the Greek popped up from but he's gone now.

Just finished another early shift and have to report we've been motoring very frugally all night, just switched from port to starboard engine as we're trying to maintain an even level in the tanks.

Superb sunrise, combined with the most spectacular waning moon, and a visitation from about 15 dolphins made 5.00am seem almost bearable!  Spud should have been up on watch at 4.00am but I've let him sleep in as he gave me an extrra hour last night.

For those of you wondering how the catering is going (I'm sure the mums are worried we're not eating properly!) the last five night's dinners have been: Tuna steaks with spicy cous-cous, Bangers and mash with beans, chicken curry with rice, cottage pie, and ravioli - note that only the last one came out of a tin!!!

I'm looking forward to shopping in Horta as could do with re-stocking fresh veg etc, but the freezer has been brilliant for keeping the meat, fish etc - Simon take note!  Deep freeze v useful on long voyages.  Spud's last message ref beer was inaccurate - we are in fact down to our last 2 cans of beer -quel domage - we'll have to start hitting the hard stuff!

The fishing has been non-productive the last few days, and my theory (and I'm sticking to it) is that there have been dolphins around the boat most days, and the dolphins are probably a pretty good deterrent to the sort of fish which we'd be catching - so I suspect one pleasure is denying us the chance to catch anything.  Not to worry, we have 6 tuna steaks left anyway.

To those of you who are watching our "arch-rivals" Rebel T with an equal amount of interest, we have not been within VHF range (we do keep trying to raise them on the radio), but obviously we look forward to having a pint with them in Horta.  Can someone send their latest position on the email so we can keep tabs on them, please?  Cheers.

Here's hoping you're all keeping well, and looking forward to making text / voice contact with some of you if and when we reach port.  GPS telling me it's only 349 miles.............

Love 'n stuff,

Le Rog & Captain Spud x
