Hello Dear Reader,
Just thought as you're reading this that you may like some background into the crew on this adventure, and a little about them. Thought it might also be an idea to give individual reasons for undertaking a crossing of several thousand miles of open ocean in something that was once described to me as an "overgrown tupperware box" So, here we go.

Peter, owner of this vessel.
47yrs old and a dentist by proffession. wanting to do the trip to fulfil an ambition that's been banging around his head for several years.

Brian, 43 yrs old, a medic by trade.
Took up sailing about 18 months ago after events in my life that some of you are aware of. Thought it would be nice to do something that I'd always wanted and got bitten with bug. Using the trip as a bit of personal challenge and to have a good think about what I want to do with my life. There's got to be more to it, and it's about time I found out what "it" is.

Rob, 46yrs old marketing bod.
Wants to cross the Atlantic as it's something he's always wanted to do, fulfilling an ambition.

Howard, 47yr old Dentist
Wants a personal challenge and feels it's a cheap way to get to the Caribbean ! Also fed up with home water cruising...

Another day here of finishing off odds and sods and heading to the long queue in the chandlers then finding out they've sold out of what you want!
Otherwise we're not a million miles off being ready and the sun's come out.
More to follow, take care everyone...
