2nd Day

Cat-man-do
Mon 4 Jun 2007 12:36
The wind man has deserted us, and the rest of the fleet it would appear. Not a very nice night with limited visibility at times and rain or drizzle. We were somewhat startled by a stowaway on board but after the initial shock realised it was just Rob who'd been asleep for the last 9 hours. He did, to his credit get up to do the hated night watch, just as the sun came up and daylight dawned. But after a couple of hours it was all too much and our stowaway returned to his quilt lined hidey hole in the bow cabin!
The sun did make an appearance about mid morning which though initially was lovely then brought the horrors of Pete in his shorts. It could have been worse though, the crew of Ruby who were within sight informed us that none of their crew were wearing anything except boots and grease !
No wonder we've had no Dolphin visitors...
We appear to be sailing in the company of Ruby, Gold Rush and Ebenezer, though can only actually see Ruby.
We did have one visitor this morning as a swallow flew along with us for some way. It was alone, and it made me quite sad to think of it doing the journey on it's own.
Sea not too rough, could just do with a few more knots of wind and all would be well with the world.
Take care out there, whoever you may be....
