The weather has deteriorated a bit and it’s now raining gently while the wind has backed and increased to F6 so we are on a dead run with the yankee poled out to starboard and 2 reefs in the main. This wind is set to continue for another 12 hours or so and then should reduce a bit and the rain clear up, but as it’s in the right direction and we’re going like a train we can’t complain. The forecast area is ‘Charcot’ and then, in about 48 hours if all continues well, 'Pazenn’.

No more whales last night, in fact it was rather uneventful. We tried a contact via short-wave / SSB at 21:00 UTC but could hear nothing. We’ll try again tonight at 20:00 and, if nothing heard, again at 21:00.
