The lobster pot yielded two crabs and a stone fish. Unfortunately the
better
of the two crabs was clinging to the outside of the pot and made good his
escape and we rejected the other offerings but it proves that edible crabs
can
be caught here.
The hot tub was deserted at 8:30 on this rather cold and breezy
morning so we
felt able to use it without getting in the way (and we cleared up the
revellers' beer cans and rubbish from the previous night - some new
Nordic
legend of a rubbish eating troll will doubtless be invented this winter to
explain it).
![]() After a soak while looking out over slight drizzle but views of great
mountains we
set off back towards Reykjavik, baking bread en-route.
![]() All very quiet with no wind and overcast with rain just starting. The
forecast says
there is a depression coming from Greenland with strong gales forecast for
the SW
sea areas tomorrow.
Tied up back in Reykjavik in the same berth alongside the catamaran by
around 5pm.
Tomorrow Fiona flies back home in the early morning and Peter flies out
here arriving in the late evening. But in view of the forecast we’d not be
sailing tomorrow in any case. |
