We woke at 5 am and headed off to collect Plum and Tom from Isafjorður. They flew up from Reykjavik early this morning after arriving late last night (and were lucky to catch the connecting flight as they omitted to catch the bus between the international and domestic airports, which are 40km apart). The landed in brilliant sunshine at Isfjorður and were waiting for us on the yacht pontoon when we arrived having found themselves some Icelandic breakfast (a ham and cheese roll). We needed to top up supplies too, so the new arrivals found themselves jobs; Tom helping to collect another can of diesel, and Peter and Plum fetching wine and bread.

We then set off around 3pm for a leisurely sail out and round the corner back to Seyðisfjorður (the creek with the little church and nothing else). On arrival the youngsters had a run ashore just to stretch legs, and James and Fe stayed aboard to cook supper and had a successful contact on the short-wave with G4ABQ (Jon).

Tom, Plum Peter went hunting for bait and to row up and down the fjord. No mussels found, nor fish caught either so no assistance with supper. So we made Thai Red Prawn curry with frozen prawns and tucked up for the night against a pink sky.
