avocet arrived in derrynane county kerry on3rd july
at 11.30 am lots of wellwishers on shore with flares and rockets .brendan galvin
of the black shop had chaampagne there to welcome us and the inshore rescue rib
came out to greet us with paul galvin`s parents on board.so four of the crew who
left derrynane with the boat were aboard when she came back.as well as my
grandson finn hope and donnacha desmond and ben mcgrane.i am writing this 10
days after arrival and have my first cojd ib three years despite it being summer
here.
