Well i have to say this voyage is going well, 20
days in, no breakages,fights or drunkeness(well not much) and we even still have
meat left in our freezer for a change, we had our first whales of the trip, 3
fin whales around the boat for a while, and an hour later a large fish
broke our line, riveting stuff,so... 930 nautical miles to go, wind is south
giving us a comfortable 7 kts although its set to change tomorrow getting in the
way for a day or so, it also looks like we might get a kicking on the way
into perth with the next deppression lining up for us. otherwise everything is
great, we had our midway party a few days back and then had our 2 day midway
hangover!... but we are really counting the days n miles to go... avocet will be
in perth for a while, bit of a refit to be done, nothing major just lots n lots
of little jobs... best to get these things done at a major port where you dont
end up waiting a month for a 2 inch impeller!!! Anyways must leave now and get
baking, or the grunts will have no bread....! Bey to
