HEY EVERYONE. DAY 6 ; SALVADOR TO CAPE
TOWN
FIRST OF ALL OUR WEEK STOP IN SALVADOR WAS MOSTLY
DUE TO SOME REPAIRS, AND MODS TO THE FRIDGE FREEZER WHICH IS FINDING THE
TROPICAL HEAT TOO MUCH. IT GAVE US A CHANCE TO GET OTHER NIGGLING PROBLEMS
SORTED OUT, AS WELL AS GETTING THE BOAT READY FOR THE NEXT LEG WHICH AT 3400 NM
WILL BE ONE OF THE LONGEST WE WILL BE UNDERTAKING.
SO FAR SO GOOD THOUGH, THE WIND GODS HAVE BEEN
SMILING, NNE 3-4, AND WE HAVE OVER 800 MILES DONE AT THIS
STAGE.
ONBOARD MORALE IS HIGH, EVERY DAY OR SO WE GET A
NICE FISH, YESTERDAY DERRY HAD A NICE SIZED DORADO. APART FROM THE
OCCASIONAL FISH MOST OF THE DAY IS CENTRED AROUND FOOD, THREE MEAL'S ARE
PREPARED, AND EACH DAY A DIFFERENT PERSON COOKS, SO ITS A BIT OF A
COMPETITION EACH DAY TO BEAT THE PREVIOUS MEAL. ANYWAY WE WILL BE UPDATING THE
LOG EVERY FEW DAYS, (IF WE CAN GET LAZY CREW TO WRITE SOMETHING IN IT) HOPEFULLY
IT WILL LOOK AS IF WER ACTUALLY MOVING ON GOOGLE EARTH. KEEP SENDING MAIL IN,
ESPECIALY NEWS, WE HAVE NO CLUE HERE WHATS GOING ON WITH ANYTHING AT
HOME.
THATS IT FOR NOW, KEEP CHECKING DIARY FOR MORE
NEWS.
