Avocet's Adventures Around the World
Derry Ryder

Hi all, we left Nassau on Monday 25th 8.30 am. We have
just left Bermuda triangle and Bermuda is now 100nm behind us. We are at
32degrees North and 62 degrees west, so we are well into the north atlantic. We
are having good sailing weather and averaging 7.5 knts.
Since leaving Nassau, we went through scarey
electrical storm, lasted about three hours, with a bolt or two of lightning
under 250 meters from Avocet, of course it was Derrys and my watch.
Ben caught great fish and we had some great dinners
including Donnachas fishermans pie. So as well as being good sailors they both
are good cooks as well.
Greetings , Margaret
