hi from avocet on thursday island we leave monday
for papua new guinea PNG fort moresby trip from darwin difficult . continous
tacking and adverse tides and coming into thursday in the western channel
currents of7 knots and 24 knots of headwind slowed us down half mile two hours
but we are in good form margaret and donnacha have rejoined so full crew the
islanders here are lovely and friendly we are looking forwad to
finishing with this continent. it will be great to br in the pacific and new
caledonia for xmas derry et al
