Hello everybody... Avocet is on route to the nicest part
of the world, yes County Kerry yooooohh. This is Ben crew on Avocet, I joined
the boat Sept 2010 promised Derry I would do a blog before
Avocet arrives in Kerry, actualy was meant to do one in Tahiti but hey
better late than never. Just left the island of Terceira in the Azores Fri 24th
5pm. The sun is out wind in the right direction myself Don, Paul, Quentin, Fin
and of course Derry and Mag on board for the glory run home.
Avocet has seen most of the islands here in the Azores
with some very impressive volcanos and caves. The bull runs were interesting
too. Myself and Don Don went to a small town to have a look at the bull running.
We parked the car followed the crowed who turned quickly in the
other direction then we realised that the bull was coming towards us. Just
dont wear flip flops not a good idea.
I would come back here, wine is cheap people are nice and
the land is very like Kerry.
Anyway we shall be updating you people daily as we
understand that there will be drinks partaken on the arrival and knowing days
times etc are important.
Looking forward to a nice pint of Guinness ohh and family
and friends.
