hi date 26/02/09 indian ocean a few hundred miles east off madagascar all well we are on day 14 out of port elizabeth on  way to reunion currant
location 23:21 s 51:02 east all well no major problems our track looks like a demented snails .all over the place.  weather good for last few days but before that from 8 to 0 and all  directions .we are coping and the south african crew are good and nice so it has been a pleasure to sail .i caught a small dorado last week no other real news  derry .

Q Here, ya, that about sums it up really, constant head winds and south indian lows have conspired to make it one of our less comfortable passages, but we struggled through and at last we have good winds for our final few hundred miles, 15 kts on the beam... Its starting to get quite hot again, foul weather gear bieng replaced by bare skin and shorts. On a business note, those interested in joining for the indian ocean crossing to australia should send an email to avocet {CHANGE TO AT} mailasail {DOT} com to discuss details, we have two berths available so dont be shy, looking forward to yer replies....

Rudi here, has been an interesting 2 weeks, full of ups and downs, the winds havent been very nice to us but as Q said we are on a good  tack now and sailing along smoothly, the Irish have been good to sail with, i have found out that the Irish and South African are much a like, we drink alot and we're hard workers, ok ok maybe not hard working but we do drink alot.
