"29:39.54N 124:49.95W Today we are being tossed about by
20 foot swells but Babelfish is behaving very well. First rain shower of the
trip this morning but now the sun is back out. The wind is beginning to blow
more from the north at last which is allowing us to beam reach at speeds of
over 9 knots at times. Roberts GPS has recorded a max speed of 13.6 knots. We
still have three reefs in the main and reduced genoa as the wind is blowing at
about 20 to 25 knots. Everyone is in good spirts although
Richard is still carrying a bucket about with him. Robert is the cook tonight
and promises us a tasty fish dish! All for now, Thom 1st photo shows our dolphin escort as we left The other two were taken today. |
