Course: SSW Speed: 4 knots
Wind: SW, F1 - light air
Sea: moderate Swell: S  2.5 m
Weather: sunny, mild
Days Run (since 2000): 72 nm sailed, 62 nm made good.

We carried a fresh breeze from the SSW overnight, allowing us to remain mostly on the starboard tack with just a few short boards on port, to make good a course overall of SSW. But, as forecast, the wind abandoned us about an hour ago and now we are motoring just to the north of Jervis Bay.

The wind is expected to remain light and variable for the next 36 hours so we are heading into Jervis Bay to anchor in its clear pristine waters off one of its crisp white beaches, rather than spend an uncomfortable night rolling around with sails slatting above or the noisy BRM rattling down below. I am sure Oli will approve.

All is well.
