Alongside Armdale Yacht Club, Halifax

Yesterday's boisterous conditions eased overnight, the winds veering into
the north a little and the seas flattening as the wind blew off the coast,
though the change in direction also meant the air mass chilled down and had
us rugged up in several layers of warm clothing in the middle of the night.
But today was a very pleasant sail indeed as we approached Halifax Harbor,
whereas yesterday we were in full foul weather gear dodging spray and waves
and working hard just to stay put, this morning I was lazily stretched out
in the cockpit catnapping in the sunshine.
At 4 p.m. we got alongside Armdale Yacht Club, it is quite expensive here so
we will only stay alongside the one night, just to freshen up and top up
water tanks, then tomorrow we will go to anchor and save a few cruising
coupons.
Erin will be signing off from the crew in Halifax as soon as she has sorted
out her travel home and I will be reverting to single handing mode for the
remainder of the passage.
