Alongside Lake Butler Marina, Robe
Wind: N, F4 - moderate breeze
Sea: calm Swell: nil
Weather: overcast, cool

I have enjoyed a relaxing break in Robe but am now impatient to get moving again.

We have done a bit of mandatory maintenance; namely some minor repairs to the bowsprit where the anchor has chafed against it (I had attached some chafe guards on it but one of them had come loose so that needs more thought); a touch up to a rust spot on the port side (which will need more complete attention at the next haul-out); an oil change (the BRM has done a few hours of late - more than I would like); and replacing the bearings in one of the luff cars (another item that perhaps needs a more complete overhaul in due course).

On the relaxation side, I have enjoyed a glass of red in front of the fireplace at the Caledonian Inn of an evening before retiring to the boat for dinner, though the inn has been more crowded than I was expecting, presumably due to the long weekend. Maybe it will be quieter tonight and I can get a prime position in front of the fire.

The plan is to continue to Adelaide for what I hope will be the final leg of our passage on Wednesday morning. The wind is forecast to be in the SW which will make for a beam reach to Backstairs Passage. Unfortunately the breeze is expected to fade out rather quickly - more motoring, and then turn into the NE, which will make for a beat up the Gulf of St Vincent, but at least I should be well rested for this relatively short passage of just over 200 miles.

All is well.
