We are now in Concarneau in Northern Brittany and
we have sun!!!! The sail down here was very poorly helmed for some of
the way whilst John was on the wheel (tee hee) then I took over and we got
here. We had 30knots of wind and big waves but it was downwind so
quite relaxed. Enjoyed a lazy afternoon mooching round the old fortified
town which is accessed by a drawbridge. Have eaten lots of french
bread and now have jaw ache! The marina is in spitting distance of the
fortified walls which are all lit up at night and we have Wifi. Amazing
how much you miss internet conncection when you have to hunt around for
it.
The depth sounder and speed log have stopped
working as has one of the display units on the helm - a man who (hopefully) can
is coming to fix it this afternoon! Not sure when we'll be moving on as we
may have to wait a few days whilst he gets new bits. Fortunately the
equipment is only made 30miles down the road so better now rather than
later.
 Just arrived Concarneau.
 Oh it's sooo sunny!
 looking down from Ramparts to marina and out to
sea. Unfortunately some silly bint got in the
way.
