Christmas day in the Tobago Cays was stunning, we
started the day with a cooked breakfast despite the searing heat then went for a
snorkel with the inhabitant green and hawksbill turtles who conveniently live in
a small area not too far from where we anchored. I saw at least
10 turtles, 1 big sting ray and an octopus in the 30mins that we were
snorkelling, then we went ashore and walked up a small
hill where 4 foot iguanas were either soaking up the sun or
taking a stroll down the sandy paths. We then spent some time watching the
comings and goings of our neighbours in their multi million pound yachts before
cooking our four monster lobsters (Crayfish really as they had no
pincers).
A lazy afternoon with a few drinks and then the
obligatory film which in our case was 'Pirates of the
Caribbean'.
