Having spent a couple of days lounging around,
sampling Caribbean cuisine and drinking local brew (rum) in Rodney Bay,
we set sail for Marigot Bay, a grand 6 miles
south. An hour or so later, having grabbed a mooring buoy, we were
snorkelling under the mangroves in the picture postcard creek that is
Marigot bay. As we still haven't adjusted to Caribbean time (+4 hours)
we were up at the crack of dawn and come 8am, I was in the drink
having another snorkel, before visiting the local town for more
provisions. Onwards to Anse Conchon (another 2 or 3 miles south) and
a superb little anchorage just off the beach. We had a fabulous day
of diving on the Lesleen M Wreck, a 165ft freighter, at 20m it was a great first
dive and probably one of the best wreck dives I've ever done, it
was teeming with fishes and had an abundance of corals. Looking
out into the blue there were jacks hunting and giving a school of
silvery fish the jitters, down at the bottom there were golden spidery crabs
scrapping. We swam through the engine room and up a hole onto the deck where we
were greeted by two turtles. This one day has made that 19 day crossing
worthwhile!

Tomorrow we head down to View Fort to pick Caroline
(Duncan's girlfriend ) up from the airport, then onto the
Grenadines.
