Back to the Virgin Islands

Irie

Position 18 23 50N 64 38 00W - Nanny Cay Marina,
Tortola, British Virgin Islands
Monday the 26th November, we fly back to Irie, a
week over six months since we left her high and dry in the heat and humidity of
Nanny Cay. So far the five hurricanes in the western Atlantic have skirted here,
though Dean and Noel came uncomfortably close. Theoretically the storm season is
near its close, though in 1999, we felt the force of hurricane Lenny
during the last couple of weeks in November.
The picture shows Irie ashore in her temporary
cradle before being strapped into the stronger hurricane frame after we'd flown
home.
More news on arrival.
