STEMMING THE TIDE OFF THE ISLE OF WIGHT

We are 10 miles off St Catherine's Point on the southern tip of the Isle of Wight.  The tide turned against us within the last hour and the wind has dropped but with the sea so calm and the stars so bright it seems such a shame to start the donkey.  So I'll make the crew work harder!  Anyone can sail a 50 Tonne yacht when its windy but can they when it is not?  There is plenty of enthusiasm amongst Andy's watch so we'll see - there goes the vang and I feel belly coming in to the mailsail as I type!  It's a start.  Richard :-)
