Phil Brown handed Adventure over to Richard Quinlan
today for the Easter Sail Training expeditions towards FASTNET. He and his
small team of volunteers have spent long days getting her ready for handover and
she is looking lovely. Thanks Phil. Vaughn Marsh was there to ensure a smooth handover. A good
start - it has even stopped raining!
First congratulations go to Sgt MJ Holt and
Lt Col Andy Whitmore; both of these fine gentlemen have passed their Yachtmaster
Offshore assessment this last week. MJ is off for some well-earned rest
before returning as Mate for the first training week and Andy Whitmore is
catching up on his day job in the Yachts Managers' cabin before returning as
Watchleader for the first week. I am really pleased for both of
them. Well done.
The crew arrive today and some tomorrow morning
ready for a 0900 hrs start. Rain is forecast! And the storms of this
week seem to have sapped Mother Nature's energy for a while; but as sure as eggs
is eggs she will regain her strength with a vengeance! Can't wait.
Anyway, keep returning to this space to see how we are getting
along.
