Melvyn is now in Stornoway - jumping off point for
Iceland. Lack of wind meant he had to motor most of the way but a slow
moving high pressure area forecast for Wednesday/Thursday bodes well for his
anticipated 5-day sail to Iceland. Today he was going to devote to
"domestic" duties such as 'washing and ironing...minus the ironing'. He
thinks Wednesday or Thursday departure for Iceland and perhaps arrival in
Halifax by early August.
No more basking sharks, but dolphins en route and a solitary
seal which has made its home in the corner of Stornoway harbour Melv is
presently moored in.
