Day's run 117 miles
Much less wind during Monday and overnight so our ETA in
Las Palmas is now noon tomorrow Wednesday 29th.
Everyone in high spirits despite the cooking gas running
out unexpectedly. Our backup camping gaz and the microwave have stepped up
to the plate and we dined on Boef Bourgignon last night - truly Baute
Cuisine!
I made a note in the deck log that we hadn't seen much
wildlife on this leg so it was inevitable that an hour later we saw whales
spouting about 500 metres away - too far to get a photo but very obvious to the
naked eye. We are starting to see more shipping and more sea birds as the
distance to run clicks down - currently 113 miles.
Suddenly its HOT - we really feel as though we are 29
degrees north and the sun has some real warmth in it and its wierd to see the
constellations on their sides.
All being well we should be back in email and mobile
range tomorrow afternoon.
