Noon position 38:11.6N 9:40.7W
Got away from Oeiras at first light (6:15) and tided
down the Tagus estuary. Plenty of wind from the north-west but a dreik
morning which cleared into a glorious sunny afternoon. Sarah saw our first
flying fish.
They call this the "Portugese Trade Wind" - 20 knots of
true wind and with two reefs in Kelpie is flying along at well over 6 knots, we
have even seen 8 knots on the dial. Great
sailing!
