The wind died down during the night so at 0300 on with the motor. Just before dawn we had to sniggle through a fleet of French fishing boats and then just after dawn we were joined by our dolphins again, one of which was a mother with her calf synchronising their swimming beautifully.
At dawn the wind got up again so motor off and brisk sailing n a fast beam reach with Bert the Hydrovane in charge - the boat goes fast with Beret in charge, in part because he forces us to trim properly and in part because he never loses concentration - always sails the boat exactly to the wind angle.
Motor back on again just before noon
During the night we had to concentrate hard to avoid traffic exiting and entering the southern entrance to the Ushant TSS - AIS is brilliant!
