After the euphoria of completing the ARC and some very welcome days on the beach, it was time to prepare for sea once again. All the crew were as usual more than helpful in changing our NO.1 Genoa for the self tacker, removing some of the anti-chafe, repairing halyards and tackline and there was just time to send Chieffy to the masthead to fix the tri colour led which once more had come loose. We also had technical help to solve our battery charging problem which hqd been a thorn in our side all the way across the Atlantic and now looks to be cured. The Iridim phone handset is bust and will have to be sent back to the UK, so all calls to the mobile please. There was just time for one final ARC party at the Marina Managers house which was literally "on the house" in every way and it was fantastic to meet so many other crews ashore.

With Jane, Adan and Tessa onboard we set off for a leisurely 21NM sail to St Anne in Martinique. THe breeze was a steady ENE F4 giving a beat to our destinqtion. This was a delightful palm lined bech and small town, we dinghied ashore for a meal at Toulolou restaurant overlooking the beach. It was great to be spending the night at anchor for a change in very calm conditions and no night watches.
