PM of Day 7 to the Azores

I am pleased to say we have had many answers to the Elephant question and I have to say members of the Mander family came up trumps with the right answer and some interesting options.

Options from Pop Mander were:

(1) Without 4 feet it would not be an elephant

(2) If the 4 was spelled fore, then it is to balance the back two

(3) Have you seen an elephant with one or more feet missing ?

(4) How can you finish off a leg without a foot ?

(5) The good Lord intended them to have 4 feet

The prize however goes to my dear lady wife, Sue, who came up with the right answer.......

“Everyone knows why an elephant has four feet! He'd never impress the lady
elephants with six inches would he?”

Of course a prize will be sent to Sue from the Azores

Wait a minute, I just had a thought, that may be why Sue calls me Dumbo.......... maybe not...... so moving swiftly onto the next question, sent in from an Avid blagger, no sorry, blogger my bruv Mike Mander

“If a turtle loses its shell is it naked or homeless?”

Thanks for that Mike. Of course we will edit all answers before adding them to the next blog

I’m certain you can’t wait to receive an update on our gear failure and the type of bird Liz found. So this morning we have all been very busy mending sails, baking bread and motoring to an area with no wind forecasted (in the right direction thankfully). Once there Liz and I will hoist Bill up the mast in order to retrieve the end of the halyard. It should be no more than a 3 minute job in the right conditions and we have electric winches!!!! Yee Har. The next step will be to fit the sail, test it out and off we go back on our way to the Azores.

Finally, paper and pens at the ready.....the name of the bird that Liz picked up was..................

a Storm Petrel. Bill wasn’t too happy

Can’t wait to put together the next blog
