Lisbon is the Capital of Portugal situated on the Rio Tejo. It has seven hills and on one is St Jorges Castle which was duly visited for the stunning view.
We stopped at the Doca Alcantara which is just up-river of the very large Ponte 25 April bridge (not sure what happened on that date?), This was like Porto; a two story bridge with road and rail, but the road part is on a metal grid rather than a metalled road surface which made it very noisy indeed,
Various visits were made to parts of LIsbon to see the maritime museum, the downtown area, the restaurant areas, the castle and the cathedral.
The trams provide a good way of getting around the town, comprising a mix of both and and new trams
