Days run: 211.7 (23 hours as rally started 1300)
Days run 24 hr equivalent: 220.9 av speed 9.2 kts
Engine hours :0
An excellent start to the ARC for us sailing
downwind with 18-25knot winds giving us a steady 9 knots speed. The sun is out
and he temperature is 25 degrees C, so better than back in the UK
Settling into the daily routines, falling to me
cooking the first evening meal of spaghetti bolognese (mostly already prepared
before we left!)
Our watch systems are 3 hours on and nine hours
off, although one person is also on standby if needed, so we should be able to
get plenty of rest, although with the constant movement of the boat sleep is
usually pretty broken sleep.
At noon today we have lost sight of all the other
boats as we all set slighly different courses and speeds. Of course it could be
that we are going in the wrong direction!!
