From Union Island we had a lovely short passage to Petit St Vincent which is a private island with a resort. We Anchored off a beautiful deserted beach and spent the day swimming and playing in the sand. We then moved on to Sandy Island which is a tiny little island just of Carriacou, where we had lunch and a snorkel before continuing onto Tyrell Bay, Carriacou. Tyrrel Bay is lovely, with hardly any tourists, and only locals and liveaboards. We had a lovely walk along the seafront collecting seashells and managed to find a freezing cold shower (well it was actually just a high up tap!) in the local marina so we all piled in, the novelty of fresh water to great to resist!! We then moved on to Grenada to the main town called St Georges where we were greeted on entering the harbour by Richard and Jo Way on S/Y Owaissa! It was such a lovely surprise and Jo just happened to be looking in our direction as we came in! They are a fount of knowledge on the area so we were able to pick their brains and were able to do some exploring on the bus. The highlight was seeing an amazing waterfall where we all had a swim in the fresh water-bliss! Next stop, Prickly Bay on the Southern Coast of the Island. This is a friendly place with many people living permanently here on their boats. There is lots going on socially. our plan is to spend another week or so down here before heading North again. Petit St Vincent g North again. Above: Arion seems ill equipped after looking around Owaissa! Essential; 2 tea cosies!! Below: Jumping into the 15 foot deep plunge pool.
