Wednesday 25th September  0600hrs and perched on the deck chair on the back of the boat – still dark but cool…. We love it hot but the last few days, building up to the monsoon rains, it has been 100 degrees with about 75 degree humidity which makes it all a bit sticky!

Our children have arrived – fantastic!!

When Richard BWR called an impromptu meeting yesterday to discuss Indonesia it was good to see their commitment to the challenges ahead……!

We who have opted for Kupang rather than Bali now have our paperwork to complete which is urgent as to confound the problems we already have, it is now Ramadan which will affect the opening times of the Indonesian consulate here.

I think nearly all the boats are in Darwin now and most in Tipperary Marina – it is very safe here and the management couldn’t be more helpful…we have a laundry, clean washing facilities, mini market, hot chicken shop and only a short walk into town.

Vic and Clara …. Great to have them on board

Oscar…..awake!

We went to the crocodile park yesterday and whilst it was interesting and informative to an extent it wasn’t a patch on the beautiful natural environment we went to near Port Douglas.  Here the crocs are penned in very small enclosures and the whole experience was rather sad and smelly…..

Smell of a chicken….

Rising to the bait……

……followed by the death role…..

It was all too much for the neighbours…..

……who were left sitting on the fence…..

The little fresh water crocs would be no match…..
