BLUE WATER RALLY - DAY 19 ACROSS THE POND

18.20N 49.16W   Day 19 and we are totally becalmed – we have switched off the engine to preserve our diesel and will just sit and wait for the wind to return.  It is 1700 – the sun has just set and see if you can imagine what it is like to be sitting in a gigantic plate of inky blue sea with a stunning cloud formation the entire way around us – it could be a painted tromp L’Oreal!  All is quiet apart from the slapping of sails – quite beautiful and a contrast I wouldn’t have missed for anything.  The odd school of dolphins swimming by and that is all…………..
