Well!! Victor is back at the 11th hour – we are now six again!  The boat is ready at last – we have unpickled the water maker which makes about 16 gallons an hour, secured the immersion and holding tanks and changed the  thermostat, shopped till we dropped, stowed and stashed

paid the Marina bill, checked the rigging, had dinner with our new friends off Hakuna Matata, met the GH insurance guys who hosted farewell cocktails, kissed goodbye Bev and Richard who drove down to say bon voyage, off loaded the rest of our overload to Geoffrey and Audrey who are kindly going to drive it back to Spain and collapsed into bed for our final night…….

We are all off at 8.30am tomorrow to Europa Point – the wind is howling outside (the windiest it has been to date!) and we are expecting 25 knot easterlies which apparently is the most perfect weather condition we could hope for……….. hoorah!

We have had excellent hospitality here in Gibraltar with great support from the Blue Water Rally Team – we feel really secure in the knowledge that they have so much experience to offer. All the other participants seem a really good crowd and we are looking forward to our times together.  We were also invited to the Governor of Gibraltar’s house on The Mount where the Captains had a photo shoot and were all in the Gib Chronical this morning.
