So today we went canoeing at Dimond Gorge. About a 24km drive from the campsite. It was a bit breezy and the gorge itself was pretty enough but we left feeling the experience was a bit ‘oversold’ and clearly a way to get money for the AWC. We called in back at Caputchek on the way back - no swimming this time! Wary of the croc!

That night we treated ourselves to dinner in the restaurant - roast lamb with all the trimmings followed by freshly made pannacotta. We wolfed it down and didn’t grudge the rather steep bill.
