We finally decided that much as we were enjoying
Port Louis it was time for us to start heading North. So on Thursday 14 Feb we
left bound towards Carriacou. Unfortunately due to various reasons we left later
than planned and as we headed up the coast it was apparent that we had
strong head winds and a lot of swell so we would struggle to make it to
Carriacou before dark. Therefore being "mature and sensible" we headed back to
Prickly Bay for a comfortable night at anchor ready for an early
start.
Next morning we were up early, if not bright, and
got under way. We headed up the lovely Grenada coastline and across to
Carriacou. Although quite choppy at times with a little help from the IT (
Iron Topsail) we had a good passage and dropped anchor in Tyrrel Bay at 3pm.

It was very symbolic for us because the first time
we saw Petronella 16 years ago was when she came into Tyrrel Bay and
dropped anchor quite close to us (we were with our friends on their Saga 40 at
the time). We admired her and thought she was a fine cruising boat. Now we know
she is !!
