Our timing was good as we arrived at our waypoint
North of Mindelo at about 08.00 just as it was getting light,
five minutes later mountains appeared out of the haze. We were then guided
in for a while by a school (pod?) of dolphins and by 13.30 we were safely
moored up in Mindelo Marina with 886 miles on the log. Crew and vessel
were in good shape and on first sight Mindelo looks very
interesting.
