I’m sorry it’s taken so long to report but the last 10 days have been absolutely manic. Our first day was spent familiarising with the new Oojah (Oojah 'X' for clarity). There are 25 through hull fittings to get acquainted with as against about 9 on Oojah ‘J’. Christene & I looked on attentively & absorbed, & promptly forgot, the detail of it all. We started creating a snag list which grew to 30 items over the 2 day handover period. The next day was devoted to a trial sail which went extremely well. Despite weighing twice as much as the old Oojah, she slipped along in only 10 kts of breeze which augurs very well for the future. 

The weekend went unloading & stowing 2 pallets & 4 large bags of gear & promptly on the Monday morning the X-Yachts technicians hit the snag list with enthusiasm. Christene marched between boat & supermarket slowly filling all our new storage while I completed my bits of the commissioning. We’ve kept our heads down & the big day when we can set off is fast approaching. C has now become much too comfortable in harbour & will require some arm twisting to leave - it might be cold & wet out there! Do I hear there’s been a Royal baby & an election - we’re best out of it all.
