at sommeren varer ut august også her i nord.
Dagens bilde - fisketorget i Bergen.

English version
Today's weather has been cold but sunny - the feeling of autumn is
upon us. We have let the boat be in her harbour and driven by car with Thorstein
and Trude into Bergen - a trip of about 45 minutes. We were not after any great
deal of big-city shopping, but ended up with an end-ring to a broken fishing
rod, some marinated whale meat and shotgun cartridges for the coming season.
There were still a fair lot of tourists in town, particularly Japanese and
southern Europeans - they clearly think that summer lasts until the end of
August also in Norway! The fish marked (world famous for its high prices) was
doing a good trade with the tourists - the employees there seem to speak
all the languages of the tourists.
We have started to notice that some things have changed in the year we have
been away. All new cars have the EU-standard style of number plate; the signs
warning of speed cameras are different and all prices seem to have gone up my a
lot more than the government's official statistics proclaim. Today's picture
from the fish market.
