The swell is coming in from our starboard
quarter making moving about sheer work. Picture every movement having to be
negotiated by where is the next handhold coming from and I'm not just talking on
deck this is down below too. Here are a couple of visuals for you. Try, to brush
your teeth while hanging on with both hands and knees braced against a bulkhead
without sticking the brush up your nose, or better yet try going to the toilet
on a champagne glass while riding a roller coaster. I'm sure we have your
sympathy not a pretty sight eh.
![]() Our speed indicator shows 5kts, but the GPS
shows 2kts. I think the GPS is correct in an attempt for more speed we tried to
put up the spinaker pole, but sea conditions made it too dangerous to
complete.
We switched to the big chart today (all of N.
Atlqantic. Phew, what a sobering moment. Our position is due E of Delaware and
due S. of Cape Breton, NS with an awful lot f ocean between us and the
Azores.
